Bensenville, Ill. — Young artists, performers and curious families are invited to discover their creative spark at the Bensenville Park District Cultural & Fine Arts Open House from 6-7:30 p.m. Friday, March 6, in the Hawthorn Room at the Deer Grove Leisure Center, 1000 W. Wood St. in Bensenville. This free, family-friendly event is designed like a school open house or meet-the-teacher night, giving children and caregivers the chance to explore programs, meet instructors and get excited about the upcoming spring session.

Throughout the evening, families can freely move between interactive tables and activity stations showcasing the district’s Cultural & Fine Arts offerings. Guests will enjoy student artwork displays, try a hands-on theatre mask-making activity, sample beginner piano and guitar experiences, and learn basic dance moves in a welcoming, low-pressure environment. Instructors will be on hand for open conversations, allowing families to ask questions and find the perfect fit for their child’s interests.

“The Cultural & Fine Arts Open House is all about helping kids discover something new in a fun, supportive setting,” said Cultural & Fine Arts Leader Nicole Thomasy. “Whether a child loves to dance, paint, act or play music, this is a great opportunity for families to meet our instructors, explore options and feel confident taking that first creative step.”
