A False Report Of Elmhurst Road Rage?

A bicyclist told an officer someone threw rocks at him, police said.

ELMHURST, IL – An Elmhurst police officer responded to a report of road rage against a bicyclist Monday, according to a report.

The bicyclist told the officer that someone threw rocks at him while he was riding his bike about 10:30 p.m. near Villa Avenue and Albert Street, police said.

The officer checked the area, but found no rocks, police said.

Police later learned the bicyclist has made 11 similar unfounded reports since November 2019 to several police departments.

Police did not charge the bicyclist with filing a false report.
