Free Museum Day returns to Elmhurst on May 20

The 22nd Annual Museum Day takes place in Elmhurst on May 20 with free exhibit admission, trolley rides, and family-friendly activities.

For the past 22 years, the City of Elmhurst has celebrated its commitment to cultural arts with a very special annual tradition—Elmhurst Museum Day. This international day of celebration commemorates the value that museums bring to the community as an important resource for education, cultural exchange, and development of mutual understanding and cooperation among people.

This year, Elmhurst continues that long-standing tradition with the 22nd Annual Elmhurst Museum Day on Sunday, May 20, 2018 from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. Three Elmhurst Museums—the Elmhurst Art Museum, Lizzadro Museum of Lapidary Art, and the Elmhurst History Museum—will open their doors to the public with free admission, fascinating exhibits, and fun activities for all ages.

Museum Day guests are invited to walk or bike to the museums or ride the complimentary “Explore Elmhurst” trolley to each location in downtown Elmhurst. Participants can pick up a Museum Day flyer and get a stamp at each museum to qualify for a prize drawing that includes: Classic Cinemas movie tickets, passes to The Hub batting cage and mini golf facility, museum membership packages, Elmhurst City Centre gift cards, and more.
