GreenMan Theatre Announces Cast Of First 2018-19 Production

"The Diary of Anne Frank" runs three weekends at GreenMan's performance space in Elmhurst at 232 S. York St​.

ELMHURST, IL — GreenMan Theatre has announced the cast for the first production of the 2018-19 season, "The Diary of Anne Frank." "The Diary of Anne Frank" runs three weekends at GreenMan’s performance space in Elmhurst at 232 S. York St. The theatre said the production opens Friday, Sept. 28 and closes Oct. 14.

Performances are Friday and Saturday evenings at 7:30 p.m. and Sundays at 2 p.m. Tickets are $17 for adults and $15 for students and seniors.

According to the theatre, Anne Frank will be played by Emma Boghossian of Palatine. Peter Michael Piane of Bolingbrook and Mary Kuhn of Naperville play Anne’s parents. Bethany Paulsen of North Aurora plays Margot Frank, Anne’s sister. Joining the Frank family in hiding is the Van Daan family. PeterVan Daan is played by Jake Harrison Murphy of St. Charles. His parents are played by Carolyn Pizzato of Palatine and Chris Brouton of Round Lake Beach. The last resident of the Annex is a dentist, Mr. Dussel, played by Howard Raik of Oak Park. Peter Gately of Chicago and Allison Fradkin of Northbrook play Mr. Kraler and Miep Gies, who help the families while they are in hiding.

Also appearing in the production are Alden Williams of Chicago and Steven Hermez of Skokie. Behind the scenes, GreenMan Artistic Director David Soria directs the production. Maggie Opal is the stage manager, and Becca Easley is the assistant director. The production team also includes Aimee Kennedy, Rich Geiger, Chris McCabe, Debbie Proska, Jim Ocasek and Christine Mertz.
