Head Wrestling Coach Named At York High School
Metcalf returned to York during 2015-2016 school year as Physical Education/Health/Dr.Ed/Special Education teacher and coach.

ELMHURST, IL — York High School has named a new head wrestling coach. The district said Nick Metcalf began his wrestling career at the age of 11 for the Villa Park Young Warriors Wrestling Club. He attended Willowbrook High School where he had a successful wrestling record.
Metcalf then attended Eastern Illinois University and then Elmhurst College. He studied Kinesiology and Secondary Education at Elmhurst College, the district said. He wrestled for the Blue Jays and current head coach Steve Marianetti.
Metcalf started his coaching career in 2007 at York High School as an assistant coach. He then became an assistant wrestling coach at Willowbrook and Oswego East. The district said Metcalf returned to York during 2015-2016 school year as Physical Education/Health/Dr.Ed/Special Education teacher and coach.

"Nick has done a tremendous job coaching the students in the wrestling program at York. He leads by example and the kids love him! We are fortunate to have Nick as our next head coach," Rob Wagner, York Assistant Principal for Athletics, said in a release.
