Money and jewelry appeared to be missing in a burglary in Elmhurst, police said.

ELMHURST, IL – In the last few days, Elmhurst police handled cases involving burglary, a domestic disturbance, battery, threats and trespassing at a pool. Here is information from the latest Elmhurst police reports:
Burglary
- A woman entered her house through an unlocked back door and noticed several items were out of place about 7:15 p.m. Friday in the 200 block of East Crestview Avenue. The woman said money and jewelry appeared to be missing. An investigation is pending.
Domestic disturbance

- Police were called to a domestic disturbance about 11:30 a.m. Saturday at York and Adelaide streets. A woman and man were arguing, with the man pushing the woman. The man said he only pushed the woman to create space between them. She was not injured. No one pressed any charges.
Battery
- A woman told police someone lunged at her and put her into a chokehold about 2:30 p.m. Friday at Elmhurst Hospital, 155 E. Brush Hill Road. An investigation is pending.
Threats

- A woman told police that a suspect threatened her while she was trying to help the suspect retrieve his wife's belongings about 4:30 p.m. Friday in the 100 block of East Brush Hill Road. An investigation is pending.
- A woman in the 600 block of West Third Avenue told police Friday that she had been receiving threatening messages since early April from her wife's ex-girlfriend. The victim wanted the incident documented.
Pool trespassing
- Two people jumped over a fence and used a private pool about 4 p.m. Sunday at York Meadows Condominiums, 841 N. York St. Both people fled, one on a bicycle and the other on foot. An investigation is pending.
