A house was burglarized late in the afternoon in an Elmhurst neighborhood, police said.

ELMHURST, IL – In the last few days, Elmhurst police handled cases involving burglary, a chronic nuisance warning, disorderly conduct, a cryptocurrency scam, vandalism and medical issues. Here is information from the latest Elmhurst police reports:
Burglary
- A house was burglarized about 4 p.m. Wednesday in the 200 block of North Clinton Avenue. Several items were stolen. An investigation is pending.

- A chronic nuisance warning was issued to a house in the 200 block of East North Avenue. It was related to the Dec. 10 arrest of a 20-year-old man who lives in the house. He was charged with two counts of domestic battery and counts of unlawful possession of marijuana and resisting an officer. He was taken to the DuPage County Jail. Police said he pushed and grabbed a woman, injuring her.
Disorderly conduct at City Hall
- An investigation into disorderly conduct at City Hall, 209 N. York St., is pending. It involves an incident that occurred about 9:30 a.m. Tuesday.

- A resident in the 700 block of North Michigan was contacted between Nov. 10 and Dec. 18 by two suspects on social media who claimed to be investors. The resident transferred money believing she was investing in cryptocurrency.
Foul language
- Someone spray-painted foul language on rooftop equipment at the McMaster-Carr plant, 600 N. County Line Road. It occurred between Saturday and Wednesday.
Medical issues
- Police and medics responded about 1 p.m. Tuesday in the 500 block of Lorraine to a resident who was not conscious but breathing. She was taken to Elmhurst Hospital.
- Police and medics responded about 10 p.m. Wednesday in the 200 block of West First Street to a person suffering from an allergic reaction. First aid was administered, and the person was taken to Elmhurst Hospital.
