Hornets Youth Sled Hockey Team Takes On York HS
The Hornets Youth Sled Hockey team will play the York High School team in a benefit ice hockey game on Monday, March 23rd, 2015.

On Monday, March 23, 2015 the Hornets Youth Sled Hockey team will match up against players from the York Hockey team in a benefit game to raise funds to support the sled hockey team. Puck drop is at 7:55 p.m. at the Addison Ice Arena, 475 S. Grace Street, Addison, IL. The event will include a raffle, silent auction, and tee shirt sales, with all proceeds going to the Hornets for purchase of equipment, ice time and other support materials.
Started eight years ago by JJ O’Connor, a former hockey player who sustained a catastrophic injury in a hockey game, The Hornets provide an opportunity, at no cost, for any youngster twenty years old or younger with a physical disability to participate in the great sport of ice hockey. The Hornet program is completely free to the players and their families.
The Hornets are funded 100% through donations from organizations such as Blackhawk Charities, high school benefit games, and individuals.
