How Elmhurst Assesses ComEd's Response

Thousands were without power after last Monday's storm, according to ComEd.

ELMHURST, IL – A top Elmhurst official on Monday gave ComEd a good review for its response to power outages after last Monday's storm.

The utility reported thousands in Elmhurst were without electricity.

"I want to thank ComEd because of their power restoration," City Manager Jim Grabowski told the City Council. "We were on the southern edge of the storm. It kind of followed (Interstate) 290 and turned south, with some straight-line winds."

"I thought they did a good job restoring us," he said. "They really worked hard to get things back up and going."
