Identity Theft, DUIs: Elmhurst Cops

Man is charged with fraudulently trying to buy a car at an Elmhurst dealership, police said.

ELMHURST, IL – In recent days, Elmhurst arrested people on charges of identity theft, DUI, drugs, fraudulent identification, retail theft and driving violations. Here is information from the reports:

Identity theft

  • Travis T. States, 31, of Chicago, was arrested shortly before noon Saturday on a charge of identity theft. According to a police report, States used a victim's personal information in an attempt to fraudulently buy a car last October at Larry Roesch Chrysler. When he was asked to provide a driver's license, he left the dealership. He turned himself into the police. He was released on bond.

DUI

  • Michael Rice, 34, of Darien, was arrested about 7 p.m. Friday at Route 83 and North Avenue on charges of DUI (drugs) and possession of a controlled substance. According to a police report, he was found slumped behind the wheel. He was taken to the DuPage County Jail.
  • Chancellor Bradley, 30, of Chicago, was arrested about 1 a.m. Saturday at Berteau and North on charges of DUI, speeding and failure to signal when required. He was released on bond.
  • Miguel Constantino, 38, of Arlington Heights, was arrested about 1:30 a.m. Sunday at Route 83 and St. Charles on charges of DUI, unlawful possession of a controlled substance, improper lane usage and driving with a revoked license. He was taken to the DuPage County Jail.
  • Anna Hernandez, 38, of Glen Ellyn, was arrested about 2:30 a.m. Sunday at North and Interstate 290 on charges of DUI, expired registration and driving an uninsured vehicle. She was released on bond.
  • Fernando Rojo Murillo, 35, of Stone Park, was arrested shortly before midnight Saturday in the 1000 block of North York on a charge of DUI. According to a police report, he was found slumped behind the wheel. He was released on bond.

Drugs

  • Wilson Ochoa Reyes, 26, of Bensenville, was arrested about 12:30 p.m. Sunday at Grand and Lake on charges of possession of a controlled substance, improper lane usage, violating the median and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident. According to a police report, he was found with cocaine. He was taken to the DuPage County Jail.

Fraudulent ID

  • Josue Gomez Hernandez, 23, of Bensenville, was cited about 8:30 p.m. Saturday at Route 83 and St. Charles on charges of possession of a fraudulent identification card, no valid driver's license, driving an uninsured vehicle and making an improper U-turn. He was taken to the DuPage County Jail.

Warrant

  • Elias Funes-Velasquez, 20, of Addison, was arrested about 10 a.m. Sunday at Grand and Lake on a DuPage County Sheriff's Office warrant. During a crash investigation, his car was found to have left the roadway and ended up in a ditch. He was released on bond.

Retail theft

  • Landon Waddell, 36, who is homeless, was cited about 7 p.m. Sunday at the Shell gas station, 654 W. North, on charges of retail theft and obstruction of identification. According to a police report, Waddell stole a sandwich after the business denied him free merchandise. He gave officers a false name. He was released on bond.

Driving violations

  • Isabel Solivan, 22, of Bellwood, was cited about 7 p.m. Thursday in the 100 block of North Palmer on a charge of failure to give information after striking an unattended vehicle. She was released on bond.
  • Bradley Crook, 19, of Elmhurst, was arrested about 11 p.m. Friday in the 300 block of North Ferndale on charges of being a minor who was driving after consuming alcohol, consumption of alcohol by a minor, possession of false identification and possession of tobacco by a minor. He was released on bond.
  • Tierra Lawson, 25, of Elmhurst, was cited about 12:30 a.m. Sunday on charges of driving with a suspended license, failure to dim headlights and driving a vehicle with a suspended registration. She was released on bond.
  • Rinchin Bayarmaa, 19, of Highland Park, was cited about 7 p.m. Saturday at Route 83 and North on charges of leaving the scene of an accident and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident.
