Illinois State Police Announce Roadside Safety Checks
Illinois State Police have announced roadside safety check dates and locations around DuPage, Cook and Will counties.

ELMHURST, IL - The Illinois State Police District 15 will conduct a Roadside Safety Check in DuPage, Cook and Will counties during the hours of 9 p.m. and 2 a.m on several dates throughout the month.
According to Commander Robert Meeder, the Road Side Safety Checks will be conducted May 12 at the Tri-State Tollway (I-294) Halsted Street Toll Plaza (Plaza 47A); May 13 on the Reagan Memorial Tollway (I-88) at the Meyers Road Toll Plaza (Plaza 52);May 19 on the Tri-State Tollway (I-294) at the Touhy Avenue Toll Plaza (Plaza 29); May 26 on the Tri-State Tollway (I-294) Halsted Street Toll Plaza (Plaza 47A); May 27 on the Reagan Memorial Tollway (I-88) at the Meyers Road Toll Plaza (Plaza 52); and May 27 on the Veterans Memorial Tollway (I-355) at the Boughton Road Toll Plaza (Plaza 89).
Illinois State Police said officers working this detail will be watchful for drivers who are operating vehicles in an unsafe manner, driving with a suspended or revoked driver’s license, transporting open alcoholic beverages or driving under the influence.
