Inmate Missing After Brother's Elmhurst Funeral: Report
The gunrunning convict was only allowed to attend service, burial and lunch, media say.

VILLA PARK, IL — A Villa Park man convicted of gunrunning was allowed to leave prison for a short time to attend his brother's funeral last week. He never returned, according to media reports.
Police found 23-year-old Bruce Berrier's ankle monitor at Arlington Cemetery in Elmhurst, NBC5 reported over the weekend. He had been allowed to attend the memorial service, burial and family lunch, the Chicago Sun-Times said. A warrant has been issued for his arrest.
In December, Berrier pleaded guilty to one count of gunrunning and was sentenced to 10 years in prison.
