Interim Leader Named For Elmhurst School
The principal must focus on "healing and recovery," the superintendent said.
ELMHURST, IL – An interim principal will lead Bryan Middle School while the principal is on medical leave, the school board decided Wednesday.
Linda Fehrenbacher, who retired as principal of Sandburg Middle School after last school year, is taking the reins at Bryan. She is set to work in place of Jacquelyn Discipio, Bryan's principal since 2015.
"The approval of Ms. Fehrenbacher will allow Principal Discipio to fully unplug during this time, so she can focus on her healing and recovery," Elmhurst School District 205 Superintendent Keisha Campbell told the board.

Campbell said she was grateful that a former principal would work with "an extremely strong" Bryan team, including Assistant Principal Thomas Sheehan.
The board voted unanimously for Fehrenbacher. Member Jim Collins was absent.
