Lewd Comments, Attack In Elmhurst Neighborhood: Cops
A man walks into a yard, approaches a woman and then slaps her husband in the face, police say.
ELMHURST, IL — A couple were in their front yard Monday when an intoxicated man approached them, leading to an incident that ended with the man being charged, police said.
About 4 p.m., the man, identified as 30-year-old Jaaron J. Holmes of Hillside, walked into the yard, muttered lewd statements and approached the woman, according to a police report. Holmes then knocked the husband's beverage from his hand, slapped him in the face and ran away, police said.
The husband chased Holmes, punched him in the face and knocked him to the ground, the report said.

Holmes was cited on a charge of disorderly conduct. He was taken to the hospital for treatment, police said. He was released on bond.
