Local Real Estate Group Helps The Hungry
The Makinney Group with @properties delivers over 800 lunches to the Chicago Help Initiative.

The Makinney Group with @properties connected with the Chicago Help Initiative early in November and gathered more than 800 lunches for the hungry. All made possible with the help of friends, family, and neighbors inside and outside the Elmhurst community.
After dropping off the meals and meeting the amazing volunteers, it was discovered that Chicago Help Initiative was started by a veteran real estate broker by the name of Jacqueline Hayes. She has donated thousands of hours over the span of 17+ years to help those less fortunate than herself. The Makinney Group’s goal is to continue helping them as well!
According to the organization, the need for help in feeding the hungry is growing on a daily basis. They hope to receive 2,000 lunches each week, and are recruiting volunteers who can help unload and distribute the lunches that are delivered.

Please consider spreading the love and helping them, too. The lunches are basic and include a sandwich, fruit, chips, granola bars, water or juice. They understand and respect if those who want to help but are unable to due to age or living with someone who is compromised. Cash donations are also accepted and can be sent by check to Chicago Help Initiative - 440 N. Wells St., Suite 440, Chicago, IL 60654. Lastly, with the cold months quickly approaching, they are collecting new winter hats, gloves, scarves, and socks.
