This Major Elmhurst Street Closed Due To Flooding

ELMHURST, IL – North Avenue between York Street and Interstate 290 in Elmhurst is closed because of street flooding, the city announced Tuesday morning.

The city is enacting the North Avenue Emergency Traffic Control Plan, which includes closures of side streets in the area to avoid cut-through traffic on flooded streets.

The city asks drivers to avoid the area or use designated alternative detour routes.
