Man Arrested At Elmhurst Veterans Post: Cops

In another case, two were accused of fighting in a local neighborhood, police said.

ELMHURST, IL – In the last few days, Elmhurst police handled cases involving a yelling man at a veterans post and fights in two other places. Here is information from the police reports:

Disorderly conduct

  • A 36-year-old Brookfield man was arrested about 7 p.m. Thursday at the American Legion, 310 W. Butterfield Ave., on a charge of disorderly conduct. Police said the man yelled at customers and refused to leave the property. Officers found him urinating in front of passing cars. He was released.

  • A 19-year-old Hammond, Indiana, man and a 24-year-old Chicago woman were arrested about 4 a.m. Monday in the 400 block of North West Avenue on charges of engaging in a fight. They were released.
  • A 34-year-old Chicago man was arrested about 11:30 p.m. Sunday at Clarion Inn, 933 S. Riverside Drive, on a charge of engaging in a fight. Officers responded to a fight in progress. He was released.
