Man Charged With Arson In Elmhurst: Records

The man remains in the DuPage County Jail nearly a week later.

ELMHURST, IL – Elmhurst police have arrested a man on a charge of arson, among other offenses, according to court records.

The man is identified in the records as Daniel Kidwell, who was born in 1975. The other charges are violation of an order of protection, criminal damage to property and disorderly conduct.

His bond has been set at $7,500.

According to DuPage County Jail records, Kidwell has been locked up since Wednesday. The order of protection has been in place since 2015, court records indicate.

Elmhurst police typically list the names of those arrested in their twice-a-week blotter, but Kidwell was not included last week. (His name, though, was listed in the blotter released Monday afternoon.)
