Man Charged With Prowling At Elmhurst House: Cops

He was seen on surveillance video looking into a window and checking the mailbox, police said.

ELMHURST, IL – In recent days, Elmhurst police arrested people on charges of disorderly conduct, domestic battery and retail theft. Here is information from the reports:

Prowling

  • James Grissem, 44, of Arlington Heights, was arrested about 1:30 p.m. Friday in the 200 block of North Highland Avenue on a charge of disorderly conduct, particularly prowling. Police said Grissem was seen on a doorbell video of the suspect looking through a resident's mailbox and into a window. He was released on bond.

Domestic battery

  • Zachary E. Zientara, 22, of Elmhurst, was arrested about 11:30 p.m. Sunday in the 300 block of Scott Street on a charge of domestic battery. Police said an intoxicated Zientara pushed a woman. He was taken to the DuPage County Jail.
  • Zoe Sakiestewa, 22, of Niles, was arrested about 7 p.m. Friday in the 100 block of North Addison Avenue on a charge of domestic battery. Police said she pushed a person. She was taken to the DuPage County Jail.

Warrants

  • Christopher J. Dwyer, 36, of Elmhurst, was arrested about 12:30 p.m. Thursday in the 600 block of West Fay Avenue on a warrant. He was found at his house. He was taken to the DuPage County Jail.
  • Rocio Garza, 34, of Cicero, was arrested about 11 a.m. Thursday at Interstate 290 and York Street on a warrant. He was taken to the DuPage County Jail.
  • Meagan Carter, 26, who has no home, was arrested about 7:30 a.m. Friday in the 200 block of East Crestview Avenue on a DuPage County Sheriff's Office warrant. She was released on bond.

Retail theft

  • Nancy Henry, 74, and Willie J. Winder, 67, both of Elmhurst, were cited about 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Jewel, 153 E. Schiller St., on charges of retail theft. Police said they stole several items. They left the parking lot in a Nissan Sentra, but were later found at their house in the 400 block of North York Street. They were released on bond.
