Man Claims Elmhurst Company Fired Him for Refusing to Show Social Media Accounts

The lawsuit alleges a man was terminated because he wouldn't show the CEO his pages on Facebook and LinkedIn.

A man is suing over claims that his former employer fired him after he refused to show his Facebook and LinkedIn accounts.

Matt Eberhardt, of Niles, filed a lawsuit in the Cook County Circuit Court against Windy City Limousine Company in Elmhurst, according to the Chicago Sun-Times.

Eberhardt claims in the suit that the president and CEO of Windy City Limousine Company asked to see his pages on Facebook and LinkedIn. Eberhardt refused, and he was terminated, the Sun-Times reported the suit stated.

Eberhardt is asking for damages in excess of $50,000.
