Man Dies In Fall From Elmhurst Garage: Cops

The 68-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

ELMHURST, IL – A 68-year-old Bensenville man died Wednesday as the result of injuries suffered in a fall from Elmhurst's parking garage at 135 N. Addison Ave., local police said.

About 11:30 a.m., first responders were called to the rear alley bordering the garage for the unresponsive man, according to a police news release. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Items belonging to the man were found on the sixth-floor ledge of the garage, police said.

The man is not being identified yet to allow for notification of his relatives.

The matter is under investigation by Elmhurst police and the DuPage County Coroner's Office, the news release said.
