Man Harassing Elmhurst Household Arrested: Cops
The man admitted to throwing fireworks near a house in a local neighborhood, police said.

ELMHURST, IL – Elmhurst police said they have arrested a man in connection with the apparent harassment of a household in the 400 block of North Ridgeland Avenue.
Scott McBlain, 20, of Chicago, was charged late Sunday night with felony criminal damage to property and possession, sale or use of fireworks, police said.
He was taken to the DuPage County Jail, where he remained Monday afternoon, according to jail records.

About 11:30 p.m. Sunday, the victim saw a black car near the house and later heard fireworks nearby, police said. A neighbor witnessed the same thing.
Officers found the car and stopped it.

The passenger, McBlain, admitted to throwing the fireworks, police said.
The driver, a 19-year-old Evanston man, was charged with driving with a suspended license and driving at night without lights. He was released.
The household on Ridgeland may have been targeted at least three other times in recent days, according to police reports.
On May 10, a resident in the same block saw that her car's windows were broken, police said.
Early last Monday morning, two mask-wearing suspects threw a metal object at the driver's side window of a car in the same block, police said. The suspects fled when the homeowner's son confronted them.
Last Monday night, a person was seen throwing a firework at a house in the block.
It was unclear whether the same house in the block was targeted each time.
