Man Hits Another In North Elmhurst: Cops

ELMHURST, IL – Elmhurst police released their latest arrest log Monday. Here is information from the reports:

Battery

• Yoni L. Gomez Lopez, 18, of Bensenville, was arrested shortly after midnight Sunday in the 800 block of North York Street on charges of battery, unlawful possession of marijuana by a driver, possession of alcohol by a driver and violating his driver's permit. Another man told police that Lopez hit him. He was released on bond.

DUI

• Gerardo Mendoza, 55, of Naperville, was arrested about 3 a.m. Saturday at Riverside Drive and Route 83 on charges of DUI and improper lane usage. He was taken to the DuPage County Jail.

Leaving crash

• Ryan Shatava, 26, of Willowbrook, was cited about 3:30 a.m. Thursday at Butterfield Road and York Street on charges of leaving the scene of an accident, failing to reduce speed to avoid an accident and failing to yield turning left. He was released on bond.
