Man Killed In Bensenville Apartment Fire: Coroner's Office

BENSENVILLE, IL — A 64-year-old man was killed in an apartment fire in Bensenville on Sunday morning. The DuPage County Coroner's Office, Bensenville Police and Fire departments along with the DuPage County Arson Task Force are currently investigating the residential apartment fire fatality.

The coroner's office said the man has been tentatively identified as Steven Nelson, who lived in the apartment in the 300 block of Marshall Road. Nelson was pronounced dead at the scene at 12:30 p.m. Sunday.

According to the coroner's office, a preliminary examination will be performed today.
