Man With Machete In Elmhurst Arrested: Cops
In another situation, a drunk man was charged twice this week, police said.

ELMHURST, IL – In the last few days, Elmhurst police said they handled a man with a machete and another one who was highly drunk in two instances. Here is information from the police reports:
Weapons charge
- Dequan M. Boone, 29, of Columbia, South Carolina, was arrested about 10 a.m. Tuesday at Ego Trucking, 677 Larch Ave., on charges of disorderly conduct, unlawful use of a weapon and aggravated assault. Police said they responded to a report of a man with a machete. He was released on bond.
Retail theft

- Lance Alexander, 60, of Chicago, was cited about 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Jewel, 153 E. Schiller St., on a charge of retail theft. A day earlier, he was cited on a charge of possession of open alcohol in public. This was after he showed up in the lobby of the police department. He was taken to a family member's house. In both instances, he was considered highly intoxicated. He has been arrested at Jewel on Schiller before.
