Man Moving Elmhurst Flood Barriers Cited: Cops
He was charged after an officer told him several times not to do so, authorities said.

ELMHURST, IL – In recent days, Elmhurst police charged people with disobeying an officer, burglary, retail theft, fireworks possession and DUI. Here is information from the latest arrest log:
Disobeying officer
- A 36-year-old Lombard man was cited about 10 a.m. Sunday at North and Berteau avenues on a charge of disobeying an officer. Police said the man started to remove barricades that were blocking North Avenue traffic because of roadway flooding. The man was told by an officer several times to stop removing the barricades.
Burglary

- Denisa Miclescu, 22, and Tranca Francesoa, 23, both of Schaumburg, were arrested about 7:30 p.m. Saturday at Kohl's, 303 S. Route 83, on charges of burglary and retail theft. They were taken to the DuPage County Jail.
Retail theft
- A 30-year-old man was arrested about 11 a.m. Saturday at Jewel, 944 S. York St., on charges of retail theft and driving with a suspended license. Police said the man stole bottles of liquor. He was released.
Fireworks possession

- A 19-year-old Oak Brook man was cited about 10:30 p.m. Friday at Eldridge Park, 363 W. Commonwealth Ave., on a fireworks possession charge.
DUI
- A 33-year-old Bensenville man was arrested about 3 a.m. Thursday at York Street and North Avenue on charges of DUI and leaving the scene of an accident. He was taken to the police station and released.
- A 52-year-old Northlake woman was arrested about 2 a.m. Sunday at North and Clinton avenues on charges of DUI and driving an uninsured vehicle. She was taken to the police station and released.
Warrants
- A 23-year-old Addison man was arrested about 8:30 a.m. Friday at the Elmhurst police station, 125 E. First St., on three DuPage County warrants and one Cook County warrant. The man turned himself in. He was taken to the DuPage County Jail.
