Man Threw Large Rock At Car: Elmhurst Cops

Bensenville woman arrested on a DUI charge after a crash, police said.

ELMHURST, IL – Elmhurst police released their latest arrest log. Here is information from the reports:

Criminal damage

  • Darnel Baalbaki, 26, of Bellwood, was arrested about 7:30 p.m. Friday in the 200 block of North York Street on warrants from the sheriff's offices in DuPage and Cook counties and charges of unlawful possession of a controlled substance and criminal damage to property. According to a police report, Baalbaki threw a large rock at a person's car. He was taken to the DuPage County Jail.

  • Matthew Dyer, 37, of Wheaton, was arrested about 2 a.m. Thursday in the 900 block of South Route 83 on a charge of DUI. He was released on bond.
  • Arrianna Fontanez, 20, of Bensenville, was arrested about 3:30 p.m. Saturday in the 200 block of Elm Park Avenue on charges of DUI, consumption of alcohol by a minor, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident and illegal transportation of alcohol. Police said she was involved in a single-car crash. She was released on bond.

Failure to notify

  • Samuel Cozzi, 22, of Elmhurst, was cited about 1 p.m. Sunday in the 200 block of East Grantley Avenue on charges of failure to give information after striking an unattended vehicle, damage to a city parkway, unlawful possession of marijuana by a driver, improper turn at an intersection and driving an uninsured vehicle. He was released on bond.
