Man's Toolbox Stolen At Elmhurst Car Wash: Cops
In another case, a man intentionally drove through trespassing signs in a city parking garage, police said.

ELMHURST, IL – In the last few days, Elmhurst police handled cases involving a stolen toolbox, trespassing, unwanted phone calls, damage, theft of tires and a stolen car. Here is information from the latest Elmhurst police reports:
Stolen toolbox
- A man told police that he temporarily placed his toolbox on the ground while vacuuming his vehicle about 3:30 p.m. New Year's Eve at Gem Car Wash, 964 N. York St. Video shows another customer stealing the toolbox and placing it in his vehicle. The theft was reported three days later. An investigation is pending.
Trespassing

- Dimitrios Giannopoulos, 23, of Addison, was cited about 10 p.m. Tuesday on a charge of trespassing. Police said he intentionally drove through the no-trespassing signs on the seventh floor of the city's parking garage at 149 N. Addison Ave. He was released on bond.
Unwanted phone calls
- An employee of Al Piemonte GMC, 364 W. Grand Ave., told police Tuesday that he received numerous unwanted phone calls from his ex-girlfriend. An officer called the woman, who agreed to cease communication with the employee.
Damage

- A person told police that someone used his elbow to damage the passenger side quarter panel of the person's vehicle about 5 p.m. Monday in the 700 block of North Geneva. An investigation is pending.
Theft of tires
- Four tires and rims were stolen from an Infiniti G37 between 3 a.m. and 4:30 a.m. Wednesday at Okaz Motors, 594 W. Lake St.
Stolen car
- About 3 a.m. Thursday, an officer tried to stop a gray Toyota RAV4 that was stolen in Skokie. The driver sped away, heading east on Interstate 290.
