Mazzochi Invites Residents to Discussion on Transportation Infrastructure Funding and Needs

State Representative Deanne Mazzochi (R-Elmhurst) is hosting a forum on public funding of road construction. The online webinar will take place via zoom on March 3rd.
Deanne has a Zoom forum scheduled for March 3 from 6-7pm focusing on public funding of road construction.
Rep. Mazzochi will host Mike Sturino, President and CEO of the Illinois Road and Transportation Builders Association, and a representative from the Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT). They will discuss motor fuel taxes, funding, and the contract procurement process. IDOT will address issues of road construction, maintenance, and how future IDOT construction projects affect travel for district residents.

“This is an event to learn how your tax dollars pay for new construction and the maintenance of existing infrastructure,” Rep. Mazzochi said. “It’s an event to get answers to questions like, ‘when are they going to fix those potholes all over Route 83?”
