Missing Elmhurst Woman Found In Town: Cops
This is not the first time she has been reported missing, police say.
ELMHURST, IL — A 51-year-old Elmhurst woman who is an employee at Elmhurst Courts Plus was found overnight Monday after being reported missing, Elmhurst police announced early Tuesday morning
"She was found safe! An Elmhurst resident with a keen eye recognized her from the Facebook alert and called 911 after seeing her in the area west of the City Centre," the police department said in a Facebook post. "Thank you, Elmhurst! You did a great job!"
Astrid Blume was last seen walking south and away from Courts Plus, 186 W. West Ave., about 10:50 a.m. Monday. She suffers from a medical condition that may cause her to wander or walk away at times, police said.

According to a police news release, Blume has been previously reported missing and was discovered to have walked long distances or seek shelter in wooded areas.
