Money Stolen From Elmhurst Hospital Worker: Cops
She saw a stranger inside her office and checked her purse afterward, police said.

ELMHURST, IL – Two incidents involving strangers prompted calls to Elmhurst police in the last few days. Here is information from the reports:
- An employee at Elmhurst Hospital left her office Monday afternoon, and when she returned, she saw a stranger inside. The man left the office after the employee told him he was not in the right place. She checked her purse and noticed money was stolen. The man was described as black, 5-foot-11 to 6-foot-1, 40 to 50 years old, having an average build and wearing a turquoise shirt. An investigation is pending.
- About 4:30 p.m. Monday, a man entered a resident's living area at Park Place of Elmhurst retirement complex, 1050 S. Euclid Ave., and spoke to staff claiming to be working for a pipe company. He said his grandmother was in the building, but left the lobby moments later. An investigation is pending.
