Mother and Daughter Killed, 5 Others Injured in Crash Near Bensenville
The four-vehicle crash happened on Grand Avenue east of Wilson Street in unincorporated Bensenville on Sunday afternoon.

BENSENVILLE, IL - A 73-year-old woman and her daughter were killed and five more were injured in a four-vehicle crash Sunday afternoon near Bensenville.
Paulette Jones, 73, of Northlake, was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash, which happened at about 2:35 p.m. on Grand Avenue just east of Wilson Street in unincorporated Bensenville. Jones’ daughter, Jennifer Jones, 44, of Northlake, was taken to the hospital following the crash where she was later pronounced dead, according to a DuPage County Sheriff’s Office press release.
The Jones’ were traveling west on Grand Avenue in a Nissan Altima when their vehicle struck a Grand Marquis head on. The Altima then crossed into oncoming traffic. The driver of the Marquis, a 21-year-old man, and four additional passengers in the vehicle were all injured and taken to Loyola hospital with unknown injuries, according to police.

The crash remains under investigation.
