Vitality Women’s Physical Therapy & Wellness is Elmhurst’s newest physical therapy clinic, designed for the unique needs of women. The clinic is located at 263 N. York Road, Suite 200, in Elmhurst, IL.
Jennifer Hungate and Amy Pawlik are physical therapists and co-owners of Vitality. “We feel strongly that there is a need to tailor physical therapy and wellness services to the unique needs of women throughout the lifespan,” notes Hungate. “Women commonly experience incontinence, pelvic pain, and pain during and after pregnancy and may not know that treatment from a trained specialist can eliminate their symptoms. Women do not have to live with these issues.” Pawlik adds, “it is critical that women’s health be seen as pelvic health and more. Cardiovascular disease is the leading cause of death in women. Fractures from falls have devastating consequences. Addressing bone health, breathing and cardiovascular fitness, balance and overall strength can promote health throughout a woman’s life.”
