Neighbor Hit After Elmhurst Dog Bite Incident: Cops

A resident emerged from house to see why a man was yelling outside, police say.

ELMHURST, IL — A man who was bitten by a dog last week in Elmhurst struck a neighbor afterward, police said.

The incident happened about 1 p.m. Saturday in the 100 block of West Grantley Avenue. According to a police report, the man stuck his hand through a fence and was bitten by the dog. A neighbor in the area came out to see why the man was yelling. The man then hit the neighbor in the face, police said.

The neighbor did not want to press charges. Police said they sent the animal bite report to DuPage County Animal Control.
