No Mowing? Elmhurst Aldermen Open To It – For A Time
Such a program would support early spring pollinators and other insect populations, aldermen said.

ELMHURST, IL – A couple of Elmhurst aldermen are proposing the city consider allowing residents to hold off on mowing in the spring.
Aldermen Karen Sienko and Michael Bram pointed to no-mow programs in Britain to support early spring pollinators and other insect populations.
They noted some suburbs have such programs. Among them are Western Springs, Villa Park, Lombard, Naperville and Franklin Park.
