Open House showing plans for proposed 200 unit apartment complex
Wednesday September 1, 2021 Open house at City Hall from 5:30 to 7:30. Proposed Plans for 200 Unit Apartment Complex for 1st & Haven

We need as many people as possible to show up on Wednesday at City Hall for the Ryan Construction Open House. 5:30 - 7:30. The plans for a 200 unit apartment complex DO NOT adhere to the zoning requirements that the City of Elmhurst approved in 2017.
Per the zoning guidelines for Central Business Outer Core Residential (CBOCR), the building is supposed to be set back 25 feet west of the sidewalk on Haven. The plans call for only a 10 foot setback.
Also, the building (according to the zoning guidelines) must not exceed 48 feet in height for 100 feet off of the property line, after 100 feet they are allowed to go up to 72 feet.

The plans proposed by Ryan Construction DO NOT follow the zoning guidelines as they exceed both the set back and height requirements.
This should be unacceptable to all Elmhurst residents. Be sure to come out to City Hall to see for yourself and be sure to let your alderman know that we expect them to follow the zoning requirements for these types of developments.
