Oscar Mayer Wienermobile Headed To Mariano's In Elmhurst
Come out and meet the hotdoggers, eat some samples and pose with the wienermobile June 29 at Mariano's in Elmhurst.

ELMHURST, IL -- The Oscar Mayer Wienermobile is headed to Mariano's in Elmhurst on Friday, June 29. Kids of all ages are invited to join the hotdoggers for samples, specials and pictures with the wienermobile from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Mariano's is located at 678 N. York St.
The first wienermobile was created in 1936 by Carl Mayer. The 1952 wienermobile is currently on exhibit at the Henry Ford Museum in Dearborn, Michigan. In 1969, the wienermobile featured Ford Thunderbird tail lights and a Chevy motor home frame. It averaged 187 miles to the gallon, according to the Oscar Mayer website. The 27-foot-long wienermobile is one of six currently crisscrossing the United States.
