Person Recorded At Elmhurst Gym: Cops

The suspect was later given a no-trespass notice, police said.

ELMHURST, IL – In the last few days, Elmhurst police handled cases involving a recording without permission, domestic battery, a dog bite, a fugitive driver and retail theft. Here is information from the latest Elmhurst police reports:

Recording without permission

  • A person entered Fitness Formula Clubs Elmhurst, 140 N. Addison Ave., about 3:30 p.m. Thursday and recorded another person without permission. The suspect, who left the building, was later given a no-trespass notice.

  • On Friday, an officer helped DuPage County Adult Protective Services regarding a May 17 domestic battery in the 500 block of North West Avenue. A woman said a suspect pushed her. Because of the suspect's condition, the woman did not press charges.
  • A person struck another about noon Saturday at Al Piemonte Buick GMC, 364 W. Grand Ave. The victim declined to sign a complaint.
  • A domestic battery occurred about 8 p.m. Sunday in the 200 block of South Monterey. An investigation is pending.

Dog bite

  • A man was bitten by a dog about 10 p.m. Wednesday in the 200 block of South Sunnyside Avenue. The bite broke skin. An investigation is pending.

Fugitive driver

  • About 1 a.m. Friday, an officer tried to stop a car that was involved in a hit-and-run in Schaumburg. The car was seen near Interstate 290 and St. Charles Road. The driver sped away from the officer. The same happened in Schaumburg.

Retail theft

  • A woman asked to buy cigarettes and cigarillos about 8 p.m. Friday at Thornton's gas station, 476 N. York St. When her credit card was declined, a man with her stole the cigarettes from the counter.
