Police Investigation Into 93-Year-Old Woman's Death Continues
"At this stage of the investigation nothing appears suspect or suspicious," deputy chief says.

Elmhurst Police Department detectives continue their investigation into the death of a 93-year-old woman after a relative alluded to possible nursing home malpractice.
The patient was brought to Edward-Elmhurst Health Care on Sunday evening where she was pronounced dead.
Police were called to hospital after the family member made allegations that his grandmother’s medical care had been mishandled at the nursing home where she had been living.

When officers went to talk to the grandson, they could only reach him by phone. The patient’s grandson would not cooperate, stating he would only answer questions in the presence of his attorney.
“At this stage nothing appears suspect or suspicious,” Deputy Chief Dominic Panico said. “The allegations continue to be investigated by the detectives. It’s an ongoing investigation.”
