Pushing During Elmhurst Landlord-Tenant Fight: Cops

Both participants agree to stay away from each other, police said. No one was reported injured.

ELMHURST, IL – In recent days, Elmhurst police have handled cases involving a landlord-tenant fight, dog attacks, a stolen computer, fraud and bullying. Here is information from the latest police reports:

Landlord-tenant fight

  • A man pushed his landlord during an argument about 5 p.m. Wednesday in the 200 block of East North Avenue. No one was injured. Both the landlord and tenant agreed to stay away from each other.

  • A woman told police that while walking in Eldridge Park, 363 W. Commonwealth, she was bitten in the right hand by a dog about 7:30 a.m. Monday. The owner was cited for failing to buy a city-required tag for dogs.
  • A woman said she was walking her dog when another dog attacked hers about 8:30 a.m. March 20 on Elm Creek Drive. A report was sent to DuPage County Animal Control.

Stolen computer

  • A man told police Monday that he left a company-owned Samsung computer tablet on his desktop Nov. 8 in the 500 block of West Lake Street. When he returned last week, the computer was gone. He said his office was unlocked, and all employees and outside service agencies can access the area.

Fraud

  • New Age Services Corp., 386 N. York, told police Monday that it mailed a check in September that never reached the recipient. In October, a fraudulent check was created via mobile deposit. The check was deposited under the suspect's name.
  • A woman at Elmhurst University, 190 S. Prospect Ave., told police that she misplaced her wallet about 7 p.m. Tuesday. A short time later, she received alerts that her debit and credit cards were being used. She told the bank they were stolen.

Mover suspected

  • A resident at 2 Elm Creek Drive told police that he hired a moving company to move his belongings from his apartment March 25. He said a jacket went missing. He also said a jacket originally worn by a mover was left behind. An investigation is pending.

Bullying

  • A woman told police March 24 that her son had been bullied by several classmates through the Discord app. The woman said she was concerned for her son's safety at school. An investigation is pending.
