The officer approached the vehicle and deployed a device designed to damage tires, known as a "stop stick." When the officer approached the vehicle on foot, Singleton fled west on 22nd street, police said. The officer chased him.

Singleton reached speeds of 110 mph before coming to a stop on Interstate 88 and Winfield Road, where he was missing a tire.
