Springfield, IL… In response to the Governor’s State of the State Address Wednesday, State Representative Dennis Reboletti (R-Elmhurst) says Governor Quinn failed to paint an honest picture of the state’s economic outlook.
“While the Governor’s characterization of our state’s fiscal and jobs outlook resembled a fairytale, the reality is that under his leadership, Illinois is predicted to be dead last in the country for job creation this year. Illinois has the 2nd highest outward migration statistics of all 50 states, obviously signifying that people are leaving. It’s an embarrassment that we have let the economic well-being of our state become this uncertain. We can do better and the Governor must aim higher,” said Reboletti.
