Rep. Mazzochi and DuPage County Sheriff to Host Safe-T Act Discussion

State Rep. Mazzochi, in partnership with the Hinsdale Chamber of Commerce, will host DuPage County Sheriff Mendrick to discuss SAFE-T Act

State Representative Deanne Mazzochi (R-Elmhurst), in partnership with the Hinsdale Chamber of Commerce, will host DuPage County Sheriff James Mendrick for a discussion on the SAFE-T Act on Monday at the Hinsdale Public Library.

“At my recent crime prevention workshop it became clear that there were a lot of questions on the SAFE-T Act and the upcoming elimination of cash bail in Illinois,” Rep. Mazzochi said. “There’s a strong desire in the community to learn more about this law, especially with all the misinformation out there.”

Rep. Mazzochi and Sheriff Mendrick are hosting a community discussion on portions of the SAFE-T act that have already taken effect and the changes coming to Illinois law on January 1st. Sheriff Mendrick will also provide safety tips and advice for residents and business owners.
