Robber In 'Scream' Mask Holds Up Burger King: Cops

ELMHURST, IL — The Burger King in Elmhurst was robbed at gunpoint on Tuesday morning, according to Elmhurst Police reports. A man wearing a Halloween mask and carrying a pistol came into the store, located at 620 W. North Ave. at 5:36 a.m. and demanded all the money from the registers and safe.

According to police reports, the man emptied several registers and put the money in a black backpack. He then exited the store out the east door.

The man was described as wearing black gym shoes with a white Nike symbol, khaki cargo pants, a black hooded sweatshirt, yellow gloves and a "Scream" mask.

The employee was not harmed during the incident, and $200 was stolen from the store, according to police. The area was searched, but the offender was not found.
