Several Homes Burglarized In Elmhurst: Police

Several homes were burglarized early Saturday morning in south Elmhurst.

ELMHURST, IL — Several homes were burglarized in the early morning hours on Saturday. Elmhurst Police are investigating the residential burglaries, which occurred between 2 and 4 a.m. on Saturday in south Elmhurst.

Police said the offender entered unsecured doors into the homes and removed wallets and purses. The residents were asleep while these incidents occurred.

According to police, homes in the 400 block of Prairie and the 400 block of Poplar were burglarized. There was also an attempted burglary in the 200 block of South Street.

Police said they have increased patrols and personnel in the area. They remind residents to make sure doors are locked and sensor lights are activated during the evening.

Residents are asked to call 911 to report any suspicious activity.
