Stun Gun, DUIs: Elmhurst Police

Police found a woman with a stun gun who had no FOID card, authorities said.

ELMHURST, IL – In recent days, Elmhurst police arrested people on charges of a gun violation, DUI, obstruction of identification, a bail violation, disorderly conduct and retail theft. Here is information from the reports:

Stun gun

  • Jessica Guzman, 27, of Chicago, was arrested shortly after midnight Saturday at York and Lake streets on a charge of possessing a stun gun without a firearm owner's identification card. She was released on bond.

DUIs

  • Derek Munter, 49, of Elmhurst, was arrested about 4:30 p.m. Saturday in the 200 block of North Clinton Avenue on charges of DUI, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident and driving on the wrong side of the road. He was released on bond.
  • Amber Blatt, 40, of Itasca, was arrested about 11 p.m. Friday at York Street and North Avenue on charges of DUI, failure to yield to a passing vehicle and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident. She was released on bond.
  • Jason Kolarik, 51, of Arlington Heights, was arrested about 11:30 p.m. Sunday at Elmhurst Crossing shopping center on Route 83 on a charge of DUI. Police were called about a domestic disturbance when they found Kolarik. He was released on bond.

Bail violation

  • Kanika Banks, 28, of Elmhurst, was arrested about 11 p.m. Friday on Elm Creek Drive on a charge of violating her bail bond. She was arrested last week on a charge of domestic battery, accused of pushing a woman and threatening her with pepper spray. She was taken to the DuPage County Jail.

  • Justin Royal, 18, of Lombard, was cited about 10:30 p.m. Thursday in the 100 block of North Addison Avenue on a charge of obstructing identification. Police said Royal, who was on the top level of a parking garage, was uncooperative and provided a false name and date of birth. He was released on bond.

Warrants

  • Malik Duncan, 27, of Riverdale, was arrested about 1 a.m. Friday at Wilson Avenue and York Street on a La Salle County Sheriff's Office warrant. He was released on bond.
  • Jeffrey James, 38, of Maywood, was arrested about 8 p.m. Saturday at York Street and Brush Hill Road on two DuPage County warrants. Police said they found James unconscious on the ground at a bus stop. He was taken to Elmhurst Hospital. He was taken to the DuPage County Jail.

Disorderly conduct

  • Richard M. Davis, 51, of Inverness, Florida, was arrested about 3 p.m. Saturday in the area of Pilot Pete's Coffee & Treats, 128 W. First St., on a charge of disorderly conduct. He was released on bond.

Retail theft

  • Stanislawa Mroz, 51, of Schiller Park, was arrested about 11:30 a.m. Sunday at Kohl's, 303 S. Route 83, on a charge of retail theft. Police said Mroz concealed clothing in her purse. She was released on bond.
