Sunnyside Intermediate School held their third annual McTeacher’s Night Fundraiser at the Berkeley McDonald's on St. Charles Rd. A McTeacher's Night is organized to help raise money for local schools by having teachers work at McDonald's and then giving a percentage of the night's sales back to the local school. What an amazing night for Sunnyside.
On Tuesday, March 6th, the restaurant was taken over by twenty-two Sunnyside teachers and administrative staff excited to serve freshly prepared meals to students and their families. Teachers also handed out orders, cleaned tables, made ice cream treats and served drinks. Assistant Principal Sherri Rodriguez worked the drive thru and Principal Kevin Grochowski greeted students and their families
A special thank you goes to Trina James 5th grade teacher, who organized the event as well as everyone who worked and attended. The funds raised will go towards the annual 5th grade camping trip to Camp Duncan.
