Suspect Fights Officers At Oak Brook Mall: Cops
The man left with Target bags full of clothing and men's cosmetics, prosecutors said.

OAK BROOK, IL – A man who stole more than $1,300 worth of merchandise over the weekend ended up fighting store security and an Oak Brook police officer, authorities said.
Zachary Silagi, 30, of Chicago, was arrested on felony charges of burglary, retail theft and resisting a police officer causing injury, DuPage County prosecutors said in a news release.
About 8 p.m. Saturday, Silagi entered Nordstrom, 10 Oak Brook Center mall, and brought merchandise and empty Target bags into a fitting room, police said.

When he left the store, he had no visible merchandise on him, but his Target bags were now full of clothing and men's cosmetics, prosecutors said.
When store security officers stopped Silagi, he fought with them, according to the news release. He continued fighting when an Oak Brook police officer stationed at the mall arrived to help, police said.

Silagi is accused of injuring store security officers and the police officer.
When more Oak Brook police arrived, Silagi was arrested.
"The allegations that Mr. Silagi entered Nordstrom, helped himself to $1,300 worth of merchandise and then got into a physical altercation with authorities as he attempted to leave without paying are outrageous," DuPage County State's Attorney Robert Berlin said in the news release.
