The woman is accused of domestic battery and interfering with communications, Elmhurst police said.

ELMHURST, IL – In recent days, Elmhurst police arrested people on charges of domestic battery, resisting officers, obstructing identification and drug possession. Here is information from the reports:

Domestic battery

  • A 21-year-old Elmhurst woman who lives in the 600 block of South Prospect Avenue was arrested about 8 p.m. Saturday on charges of domestic battery and interfering with the reporting of domestic violence. Police said the woman threw a salad bowl at another person. She was taken to the DuPage County Jail.

  • A 42-year-old Elmhurst man was arrested about 9 a.m. Sunday in the 100 block of East North Avenue on a violation of an order of protection. Police said the man was not allowed at his home, but showed up anyway and refused to leave. He was taken to the DuPage County Jail.

Resisting officer

  • A 40-year-old University Park man was arrested about 3:30 p.m. Thursday at St. Charles Road and Villa Avenue on charges of obstructing identification, resisting a police officer and illegal transportation of open alcohol. Police said he gave a false name to officers. He was released.

  • A 26-year-old Chicago woman was arrested about 11 p.m. Sunday near Elmhurst Public Library, 125 S. Prospect Ave., on a warrant and a charge of obstructing identification. Police said they were called to check on the woman's well-being. She gave them a false name. She was taken to the DuPage County Jail.

Warrants

  • A 28-year-old Villa Park woman was arrested about 1 p.m. Friday at Route 83 and North Avenue on warrants from Cook and DuPage counties and charges of driving with a suspended license and driving an uninsured car. She was taken to the DuPage County Jail.

Drugs

  • A 45-year-old Hillside woman was arrested about 8 p.m. Friday at Interstate 294 and Roosevelt Road on charges of unlawful possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, driving an uninsured car and expired registration. She was released.
