Timothy Christian Plans Parking Lot
The school plans to hold a required meeting with neighbors on Friday night.

ELMHURST, IL – Timothy Christian Schools is proposing a 63-space parking lot on a part of its property fronting Euclid Avenue.
It plans to present the concept to the Elmhurst City Council's Development, Planning and Zoning Committee at 7 p.m. Monday at City Hall.
The school said it mailed a letter to all neighbors within 500 feet of the campus on Dec. 20.

The parking lot is part of a "planned unit development," the school's attorney, Paul Buikema, said in the letter.
As part of such a development, an organization is required by a city ordinance to hold a meeting with neighbors, Buikema said.

The meeting is planned for 6 p.m. Friday in the second-floor Brandsma Room in Timothy Christian's middle school, in the area known as the Ward Athletic Center.
The school listed the site at 188 S. Prospect Ave., but it is actually at 1051 S. Prospect Ave.
It is unusual for such a community meeting to be held on a Friday night.
